Worst.Experience. My friends and I were utterly disappointed at the restaurant's food yesterday. The pizza had a paper-thin crust, smatterings of whichever topping. Atleast they were generous with the tomato paste. It's really very easy to see that they decided to stretch out the pizza base dough typically used for one pizza to accommodate for the free second one. Was expecting alot more from them as an Italian restaurant but you'd be better of at a fast food outlet that will atleast serve a meal that lives up to its name and probably at a friendlier rate too, and with better service.
I have been to Mediterraneo severally and their service is painfully slow when there is a crowd. Waiting for like two hours for dinner isn't exactly the ideal dinner plan. Was there for dinner on Tuesday and they got our orders mixed up. Had waited too long to complain so we just ate whatever. I love the ambiance and their portions
This is the only location of the chain i had never tried and since most of my preferred restaurants were closed on Christmas Day, we decided to give it a try. Wasn't too keen on being in a mall on such a special day but boy was i wrong. The place is absolutely wonderful. Its cozy and intimate, the mood lighting is just right. My family loved it and we loved the Seafood, cold cuts and cheese platters on the starters menu. As always the portions for the mains are always generous making for a great lunch the next day. The service wasn't that great considering it wasn't a full house. Will definitely be back for a date night. Great job.
The only place in Nairobi where I will order beef, because it is always top-notch quality. When lunching on a very wet Monday recently the bread and butters were polished off in no time, so all was replenished without having to ask. Staff is attentive and polite, their house wine is young but palatable and the food was great yet again. This restaurant never fails to deliver and kept their high standard up throughout the years; the best Italian in Nairobi by far.
