A regular at About Thyme for many years i have never been disappointed the food service and ambience are above par and always consistent my personal favourires are the pumpkin tortellin and the bbq tuna steak though we always try to order at least one item from the special menu and are always spoilt for choice so keep it up About Thyme credit where credit is due you have an extremely loyal and appreciative following for your efforts in my circle

Highly disappointing |

In principle a nice ambiance (that’s if you sit outside) but both food & service are mediocre to say the least. It started with a sleeping askari who took forever to open the gate, not exactly a good sign. Service was friendly but completely disorganised while the place wasn’t full. Our candle not lit, cutlery incomplete, table next to us remained untidy after guests had left, additional order forgotten etc. The food was below standard. Crispy calamari was very chewy and bland (and “sorry, we ran out of tartare sauce”), the grilled tuna steak was small and the worst quality of fish I’ve ever come across. A quarter of it was literally inedible and since when is tuna steak served with the skin still on. I decided not to send it back a 2nd time, the 1st portion came more than well done despite me reiterating twice during ordering I wanted it medium-rare. My wife’s red snapper was nothing to write home about.
It’s About Thyme that this restaurant pulls up its socks – we won’t be back.

Nice and good food |

It was my first time there, the service is good the food is tasty and the decoration really nice. I will be back again for sure, just have to buy bigger glasses for the wine :)
